Fugitive of the Week, Benjamin Justin Ecklund, In Custody

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces the arrest of former Fugitive of the Week, Benjamin Justin Ecklund. Ecklund, 42, was wanted on a parole violation warrant stemming from underlying conviction of armed robbery (NH RSA 636:1:III).

Ecklund, previously highlighted as the Department's Fugitive of the Week on December 20, 2023, was located by officers on March 31, 2024, after being found unconscious in some bushes. Ecklund was taken into custody without incident by the Keene Police Department and is currently housed at the Cheshire County House of Corrections.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections thanks the Keene Police Department for their assistance with this case.

The Fugitive of the Week program was launched by the Department of Corrections in March of last year to encourage public assistance in locating individuals who have absconded from supervision. Each Wednesday, the Department shares information on a specific fugitive through various communications platforms, and with law enforcement through the New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center.
