Fugitive of the Week, Samuel Jeff Warren, In Custody
CONCORD, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that Samuel Jeff Warren, 37, previously featured as Fugitive of the Week, has been taken into custody.
Warren was highlighted in the Fugitive of the Week program on October 25, 2023. Over the past six months, probation parole officers have been in contact with Warren several times, encouraging him to turn himself in. Warren was wanted on both a Drug Court probation warrant and a parole warrant.
On February 25, 2025, Warren appeared in court for a Drug Court hearing, intending to speak directly with the judge in hopes of having the Drug Court warrant lifted and avoiding incarceration. The Drug Court warrant had been issued due to Warren’s failure to follow program requirements and for absconding from the program. However, Warren was unaware that the New Hampshire Department of Corrections also held a separate parole warrant for his arrest. Warren was taken into custody in the courtroom before having the opportunity to address the judge, placing his parole warrant as a priority action over the drug court probation violation which he will have to resolve at a later date. He is currently being held at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men.
The Fugitive of the Week program, launched by the Department of Corrections in March 2023, shares information every Wednesday about individuals wanted on active warrants through various communications platforms. It engages the public and law enforcement agencies via the New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center. This collaborative approach continues to play a vital role in ensuring public safety and bringing fugitives to justice.
